A little bit o' this. A little bit o' that. Mostly the prattlings of the guy behind the camera about family, friends, things I like or don't like. So there!

On the gooo-ood ship, King Philip

So, better late than never would be appropriate here! I took Miles to Ocean Beach in SF when I heard that an old sunken ship had shown itself on the beach there.

Of course, I had visions of a monolithic wreck sitting askew on the shore, creaking loudly as the waves hit it. Well, not quite. It was more like an old picket fence that had been reduced to stumps & had accidentally been uncovered by heavy tides. At least it could have been the complete fence. But Noooo! It was like the corner, & only 6 feets worth of that. Whatever. IF you click the link above, you can see a better representation of it in pictures from '84.

Still turned out to be a fun day. Sand, surf, wreckage, water-logged clothes, chattering teeth. Good Stuff ;)

Harold & Maude

I don't know why, but this image makes me think of Harold & Maude, though, in fact, I think it is more like Ralph Kramden and Alice Gibson from The Honeymooners, or Archie and Edith Bunker. I think it must be due to Sophie's glasses & the prim, proper way she has both hands holding her purse on her lap or maybe the "Lord, take me know" look on Danes face. :)

I can just see her saying (nagging) "Turn left up here." "You're going too fast." "Must you always pass every other stroller on the road?!"
